What is Energy Release Antifriction Metal Conditioner?
Energy Release, commonly known as ER, is a liquid chemical formula to be added to your existing oil to improve and protect moving metal parts. ER treats metal surfaces in a time-temperature-pressure relationship. The higher the temperature or pressure, the shorter the time it takes to condition metal parts. ER is not an oil or lubricant. ER is carried by lubricants – oil, water, hydraulic fluid, compressors – to points of friction. ER is a pure undiluted complex chemical formula that contains organic and synthetic compounds. ER mixes readily with petroleum and synthetic lubricants such as oils, greases, ATF/hydraulic fluids and can even be used in air conditioning systems.
ER treats the metal itself rather than the oil. ER bonds to the Ferrous reaction sites that are available in the surface asperities of wear metals. By bonding to the microscopic pits, ER significantly smoothes and at the same time strengthens the surface of Ferrous metals. ER seals rough pores, inhibits galling and smoothes the roughness of the metal surface without changing any tolerances. This process dramatically reduces the coefficient of friction and wear between moving metal parts. Less friction means less heat is generated. The result is less wear.

A. ER is the only “Pure Concentrate” available. ER can be used in all lubricated systems of your vehicle and is non-toxic, nonflammable and environmentally safe. A. Yes. We don't promote horsepower gains, however, it is an added benefit when using ER in your engine. We promote PROTECTION, PERFORMANCE, PROVEN. A recent Dyno Test performed by Brickshop Dyno (Chuck Cielinski) of Gilman, MN on April 18, 2013 on a Chevy 454 race engine showed a 1% gain after adding ER. A. Yes. ER does not coat or plate surfaces and does not negatively affect fiber clutch disc, therefore it can be used in wet clutch applications commonly found in motorcycles, ATV’s and even automatic transmissions.
A. Yes. ER is designed to modify the rough surface of ferrous (iron) metals thus making them smoother. ER is not a lubricant like oil, but is designed to be carried by oil to points of heat and friction.
A. Yes. However, we recommend that you break-in your new engine as suggested by the manufacturer, then add ER to your oil.
A. Yes. ER is known for its ability to give new life to many old engines.
A. Many users report results within the first one to two tanks of gas. However, remember that ER is a heat-activated chemical which needs time to work, and that each vehicle is different. Give ER time to work and you will see the benefits.
A. Either the Pin k& Block Test or the STM-2782 Timken Bearing Test will give conclusive evidence of ER’s ability to truly condition metal, especially when you wipe the metal surface dry and run bare steel to steel with no lubrications. Nothing beats Energy Release.
A. Manufacturers don’t usually specify the brand of oil you must use or state that you cannot use an additive. They do however have specific requirements for regular service intervals and keeping within certain viscosity and oil type guidelines. Mixing ER with oil at Energy Release’s recommended ratios does not change the viscosity rating of the oil. Therefore, it does not create a problem with most warranty plans, as long as the owner has maintained the vehicle per the manufacturer’s program.
A. Yes, keep in mind that ER is not a lubricant, but works with lubricants such as oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, gear lubes, machining and cutting fluids and even Freon.
